Bank awards grants to local groups

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation recently awarded grants to four area nonprofits, according to a Bank of America news release.

The Girls Inc. of Orange County chapter and Working Wardrobes, both of Costa Mesa, each received $10,000.

The Orange County United Way, based in Irvine, received $50,000. MIND Research Institute, also in Irvine, received $20,000.

The four organizations were among 16 in Orange County to receive portions of $317,500 in awarded grants.
