UCI falls to Cal Poly

SAN LUIS OBISPO — Cameron Bishop went one for three with one run batted in to lead the visiting Anteaters in the Big West Conference game Friday.

Nine different UCI players contributed one hit apiece as UCI fell to 27-20, 7-9 in conference.

Senior Elliot Surrey allowed four runs (three earned) and seven hits in 5 1/3 innings to take the loss and fall to 3-5.

Cal Poly, which had 13 hits, improved to 27-21, 8-8.

The two teams continue the series on Saturday and Sunday.
