Girls’ Lacrosse: Kline, Mulvaney earn Academic All-American accolades

Corona del Mar High lacrosse graduates Kacie Kline and Kendall Mulvaney have earned U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American honors for the spring season.

Academic All-American members are awarded for their lacrosse skills, sportsmanship and academic achievements. They are also judged to have left their mark in the areas of school and/or community service.

Kline, headed to USC, was the Pacific Coast League co-MVP after helping CdM share the league title with Beckman. She led CdM with 76 goals, and her 29 assists were second on the squad.

Mulvaney, who will play soccer at the University of Denver, had 21 goals and a team-best 51 assists. She was also a first-team all-league selection and earned Daily Pilot Newport-Mesa Female High School Athlete of the Year honors.

CdM girls’ lacrosse (16-5) advanced to the semifinals of the U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section South Division playoffs.
