Pets of the Week

Names can be deceiving. Spartan and Spartacus are anything but feline gladiators. These mellow fellows are approximately 2 years old and likely brothers.

Spartacus is all black, and Spartan has just a touch of white fur. Found as strays, both are healthy domestic shorthair cats who will be neutered upon adoption. Volunteers describe them as gentle boys, comfortable even sitting in your lap.

This summer, they relished getting out of their kennel to lounge on the cool tile floor (as photographed), making no effort to run away. Quiet, yet playful, they enjoy people as well as other cats/kittens. Dogs do not seem to faze them either. Spartan and Spartacus patiently await a well-deserved new home where they can remain together.
