Force to awaken at Buena Vista Library

Imperial stormtroopers from the 501st Legion will occupy the Buena Vista Library in Burbank next week as part of a celebration of the “Star Wars” movies. The latest installment of the science-fiction/fantasy film series set in a galaxy far, far away is slated to be released in mid-December.

The library event, with costumed volunteers from the legion, will be held Wednesday in the library’s community room. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the event will run until 8:30 p.m.. Library staff will let guests line up outside the community room starting at 6 p.m.

The event will also feature trivia games, an origami station where participants can make a paper Yoda and a guessing game where a few lucky winners will receive Lego “Star Wars” kits.

All ages are welcome and participants are encouraged to dress in costumes of their own, whether they side with the Light or the Dark Side of the Force, the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire.
