Stough Canyon hiking trail closed for a month

Because of damage caused by the recent rainstorms that spanned several days across the Southland earlier this month, the Stough Canyon hiking trail in Burbank will be closed for about a month, according to city officials.

A contractor will be doing repairs on the Stough Fire Road and surrounding infrastructure, necessitating the closure of the trail, officials added. The road is located above the Stough Canyon Nature Center.

However, Wildwood Canyon Park, Stough Canyon Nature Center and parts of the parking lot will be open during regular business hours.

For more information, call (818) 238-3800, (818) 238-5300. The nature center, 2300 E. Walnut Ave., can be reached at (818) 238-5440.
