Clauses to drop by Holiday in the Park

Share

Santa Claus and his missus are coming to town on Friday for Holiday in the Park, a snow-filled — yes, snow-filled — annual event with eating, shopping and merry-making along Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank.

The event, hosted by the Magnolia Park Merchants Assn., will run from 5 to 9 p.m. The Clauses will be available for free photos at the UMe Credit Union, 3000 W. Magnolia Blvd. There will also be 5 tons of blown-in snow in the UMe Credit Union parking lot, a base for snow-angel-making and snowman-building.

Event-goers can bring donations of toys and food items to be given to the Burbank Temporary Aid Center. Representatives from organizations such as the Burbank Police Department, Burbank Library and various community groups will be at the parking lot at Bank of America, 3400 W. Magnolia Blvd.

Comic book store Blast from the Past, 3117 W. Magnolia Blvd. will also have photo-ops with characters from the Disney move “Frozen” as well as the Grinch. The Burbank Kiwanis Club will host a classic car show in the parking lot of the Rite Aid at 935 N. Hollywood Way, across from Porto’s Bakery.
