‘How the World Began’

Caregiver Support Group

Hommage to The Dude

“Joe Forkan — The Lebowski Cycle,” a painting exhibit, is at Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion, Orange Coast College, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. The exhibit blends masterpieces of Western art with images from the 1998 film “The Big Lebowski.” Pavilion is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Closed Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.

‘It’s Your Money’ Workshops

Peter Kote will be leading the eight weeks of the free “It’s Your Money” workshops from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Mondays at the Newport Beach Public Library, 1000 Avocado Ave. The workshops promise to “provide attendees with education and practical solutions to financial and estate planning issues, so they can be in charge of their estates during their lifetimes and beyond,” according to a release. Angelitos Card Launch Party

Seven boutiques at South Coast Plaza, 3333 Bristol St., Costa Mesa, will throw a party to launch the 10th annual Angelitos Card Fundraiser. From 9:30 to 11 a.m., shoppers who stop by the seven shops — Assouline, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Henri Bendel, J. Crew, Madewell and Salvatore Ferragamo — can enjoy champagne and food while shopping with their Angelitos Cards. They will be able to save 20% off items sold at more than 100 participating shops.
