Silver is a 5-year-old Chihuahua mix, surrendered to the shelter in June by an owner who could no longer take care of him.
At first, he was shy and had to be coaxed to come out, but soon he began to look forward to greeting his handlers — waiting patiently at his kennel door with a wagging tail. Now, he is always happy to walk or enjoy a cuddle.
He is housetrained, very calm and well behaved with people as well as other dogs. Deserving of a fresh start in a new and loving home, this little guy seems to be saying, "Please pick me, and I will show you my 'silver' lining!"
Come meet our precious Silver at the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit http://www.ochumanesociety.com.
