Photo Gallery: Dia de los Reyes at Argyros Plaza in Costa Mesa

The three kings — played by, from left, Mario Rodriguez, Ruben Alvarez and Marcial Fernandez — arrive Sunday for the Dia de los Reyes celebration at the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza in Costa Mesa. The celebration stems from the story of the three kings who traveled from the Far East following a star that guided them to Jesus in Bethlehem. Sunday’s event included live music, face painting, a caricature artist, storytelling, rosca de reyes (kings cake) and a procession of the kings.
