Chris Hall struck out 12 batters in a no-hitter, as the Costa Mesa High School baseball team defeated host Saddleback 8-0 on Wednesday in an Orange Coast League game.

Hall issued just one walk in the start for Costa Mesa (13-12, 6-9 in the Orange Coast League).

Jacob Allen went two for four with a double and two runs batted in. Matt Anderson and Jordan Stucki each had three hits and drove in a run for Costa Mesa, and Caleb Robeck added two hits for the Mustangs.

Estancia 3, Santa Ana 1: Andrew Mits tossed a two-hit complete game, striking out seven in going the distance for the Eagles on Wednesday in an Orange Coast League finale at home.

Andrew Coyotzi went two for three with a run batted in and two stolen bases for Estancia (23-5, 10-5), which finished in a tie for second place in the league with Calvary Chapel.

James De La O and Cole Lefebvre each had a triple.

Laguna Beach 2, Edison 1 (nine innings): Nick Bonn allowed two hits and struck out nine in a complete game for the visiting Breakers in the extra-innings affair on Wednesday in a Sunset Conference crossover contest.

Max Burchi and Griffin Naess each had a run batted in for Laguna Beach (13-12), and Noah Neufeld and Colin Kidd scored the runs.

Los Alamitos 3, Marina 2: The Vikings fell to 6-22 for the season following Wednesday’s Sunset Conference crossover game at home.

Moreno Valley Canyon Springs 9, Sage Hill 0: Jesse Alfaro had three hits, including a home run and four runs batted in, to send the host Cougars past the Lightning in a nonleague game on Wednesday.

Sage Hill dropped to 9-9-1 overall.

Los Amigos 12, Rancho Alamitos 1: Juan Gutierrez’s four-hit performance helped the Lobos clinch at least a share of the Garden Grove League title in Tuesday’s game on the road.

Josiah Alvarez earned the win on the mound for Los Amigos (22-3, 11-3).

SOFTBALL

Calvary Chapel 15, Costa Mesa 0 (five innings): The Mustangs had a six-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday in an Orange Coast League game at home.

Reygan Schneider and Jaidyn Soldin each had a hit for Costa Mesa (13-7, 8-2), which finished second in league behind Calvary Chapel (16-8, 10-0).

Katella 13, Ocean View 1: Samantha Saldivar had three hits, including a double and a home run, and she produced seven runs batted in to lead the visiting Knights in a Golden West League game on Wednesday.

Ocean View finished the season at 6-16 overall and 2-8 in league.

BOYS’ TENNIS

Surf League finals

Fountain Valley’s Alan Ton won the league singles title Wednesday at Huntington Beach High, defeating Corona del Mar’s Logan Friedman 6-3, 6-2 in the title match.

It is the second league championship for Ton, a junior.

In the league doubles final, CdM’s Niels Hoffmann and John Cross beat Sea Kings teammates Jonathan Hinkel and John Knox, 6-0, 6-0.

All league finalists qualify for the CIF Southern Section Individuals tournament, which starts May 19.

BOYS’ GOLF

Edison 173, Newport Harbor 198: The visiting Chargers finished 16-4 overall and 5-1 in the Surf League to claim the outright league title on Wednesday at Costa Mesa Golf Course.

Timothy Jung finished his round at three strokes under par to earn medalist honors for Edison, which also saw Ben Crinella and Troy Tarvin produce rounds of one under par.

Marina 183, Laguna Beach 209: The Vikings improved to 5-12 overall and 3-2 in the Wave League following Wednesday’s match at Ben Brown’s Golf Course.

Laguna Beach ended its season at 0-13 overall.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

Corona del Mar 18, Huntington Beach 0: Peyton Tingley scored four goals to pace the Sea Kings on Wednesday in a Sunset League match at Huntington Beach High School.

Charlie Hutchinson and Aden Stein added three goals apiece for CdM (15-4, 5-0).

Huntington Beach dropped to 7-9 overall and 2-3 in league.

Newport Harbor 10, Edison 6: The Sailors improved to 7-11 overall and 3-2 in the Sunset League with a win at Davidson Field on Wednesday.

Edison fell to 9-9 overall and 1-4 in league.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

University 3, Estancia 0: The Eagles were swept 25-14, 25-16, 25-22 on Tuesday in the wildcard round of the CIF Southern Section Division 4 playoffs at home.

Estancia finished its season with a record of 11-7.
