High School Roundup: CdM boys’ water polo in S&R tourney semis

S&R Tournament

Corona del Mar High won twice on Friday to advances to Saturdays semifinals.

The Sea Kings will face undefeated Harvard Westlake in a semifinal at 1:15 p.m. at Woollett Aquatic Center in Irvine.

CdM defeated Bellarmine Prep of San Jose, 9-4, in the quarterfinals.

Foster Hoose led the way with five goals, three steals and one assist. Will Rodosky added two goals, one assist and one steal. Jon Polos and sophomore Henry Wilde each had one goal. Matt Moran was solid in goal with 10 saves and four assists.

CdM began the day with a 17-7 win over Davis.

Ben Brooks and Brendan Hack scored three goals each. Jon Polos, Vincent Ong, Foster Hoose and Andres White each scored twice. Rodosky dished out three assists and Tanner Roletter had three steals.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Sage Hill 18, Oxford Academy 0

CERRITOS — The Lightning remain undefeated in the Academy League after their win on Friday.

Sage has swept 18-0 twice against Oxford, once against Whitney, and once against Crean Lutheran, with the only games lost to St. Margaret’s, which Sage defeated 12-6.

Sage Hill is ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern Section Division 2.
