Estancia boys’ basketball program alumni games set for the day after Thanksgiving

The Estancia High boys’ basketball program will be holding its annual alumni games on Nov. 24 in the Eagles’ gym.

Three games will be played on the Eagles’ alumni day. Estancia freshmen will play against parents at 4 p.m., followed by the junior varsity team going against Estancia basketball coaches at 5:30.

The nightcap will be the Eagles’ current varsity team against program alumni, starting at 7.

The games being played on the Friday after Thanksgiving is a change, as the alumni day is usually on a Saturday.

The 2017-18 Estancia boys’ basketball team opens the season with a “Take the Turkey” tournament game against La Puente Nogales at El Monte High on Monday at 1:40 p.m. Estancia coach Xavier Castellano enters his fourth season in charge of his alma mater.
