Key Seahawks: Sr. QB Noah Hickman (83 of 126 passing for 1,341 yards, 20 TDs and two INTs; 78 carries for 553 yards and 14 TDs); Sr. WR/FS Will Earthman (33 catches for 555 yards and six TDs; 55 carries for 582 yards and six TDs; 20 tackles, one INT, one forced fumble); Sr. WR/SS Naeco Logan (19 catches for 345 yards and nine TDs; 22 tackles, three INTs)

Key Pioneers: Sr. QB Anthony Munoz (195 of 281 passing for 3,070 yards, 45 TDs and six INTs; 15 carries for 111 yards and one TD); Jr. WR/CB Caine Savage (74 catches for 1,171 yards and 18 TDs; 27 tackles, seven INTs, one forced fumble); Sr. RB/FS Rahsaan Hester (87 carries for 757 yards and 10 TDs; 24 catches for 473 yards and nine TDs; 20 tackles)

Breakdown: Ocean View started out the season with eight straight wins, but after a loss at Laguna Beach (7-2, 1-1 in league) last week, the Seahawks (8-1, 1-1 ) may no longer be in control of their own destiny … Western (8-1, 2-0) clinched at least a share of the league title with a win over Godinez last week, but if Ocean View defeats Western and Laguna Beach beats Godinez on Thursday, Western, Ocean View and Laguna Beach would split first place … In 2015 and 2017, the Seahawks qualified for at-large consideration with a .500 overall record, but they did not receive a CIF Southern Section playoff berth. If Ocean View’s fate comes down to at-large availability, there are two games of interest for the Seahawks. Ocean View could benefit from a Yermo Silver Valley (2-7, 1-1 in Cross Valley League) loss at Oro Grande Riverside Prep (3-6, 1-1), and the same could be said of an Ontario Christian (5-4, 2-2 in Ambassador League) loss to Redlands Arrowhead Christian (6-3, 2-2). Wins by Silver Valley and/or Ontario Christian will add to the number of automatic playoff berths secured by teams in Division 11 … With regard to at-large selections in Division 11, third-ranked Beaumont would appear to be the first team that could use help. The fifth-ranked ranked Seahawks would fall next on that list … If Western wins, it would win its first outright league title since 2008. An Ocean View win would give the Seahawks a share of their first league title since 1989, when they split the Sunset League with Edison.
