ANAHEIM — Estancia High defeated Cypress, 12-9, to win the consolation championship Saturday at Katella.

Charlie Umansky scored six goals and goalie Conner Graham made nine saves for the Eagles (7-1) against Cypress.

Umansky had five goals and Graham had eight saves in Estancia’s 10-5 win over Katella in the morning.

The Eagles will play host to Laguna Beach Wednesday at 3 p.m.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Durango Tournament

LAS VEGAS — Newport Harbor High beat Torrey Pines, 25-21, 25-22, to finish 15th out of 48 teams at Durango High Saturday.

The Sailors (10-6) went 3-4 at the tournament. Saturday proved to be a rough day for Newport Harbor. Los Alamitos defeated the Sailors, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22, in the morning. Then Marymount beat Newport, 25-19, 25-16. Santa Barbara scored a 16-25, 25-19, 28-26 win.

Maddy Brown had 28 kills in the matches Saturday, while Sarah Buckingham had 23 kills. Cinnamon Sary recorded 79 assists and 18 kills, while Lauren Demos had 12 kills, Biz Buckingham had 20 digs and Hunter Jennings had 15 digs.

The Sailors went 2-1 Friday to finish second in their pool at Green Valley High. They beat Long Beach Wilson, 25-16, 24-26, 25-23. Then lost to eventual tournament champion Harvard Westlake, 25-23, 25-20, and defeated South Torrance, 25-23, 25-15.

Dana Hills Invitational

DANA POINT — Newport Harbor High’s Tori Sarris finished 11th in the senior girls’ division in 18 minutes, 35 seconds Saturday.

Paige Tennyson (eighth in 19:13), Katherine Maddox (10th in 19:19) and Maggie Goodson (17th in 19:49) helped the Sailors finish third out of 17 teams in the sophomore division.

Leah Van Dyke (fifth in 18:35) and Kaitlyn Mead (14th in 19:18) helped Newport finish second out of 10 teams in the freshman division.

Brentwood Invitational

LOS ANGELES —Jack Percival finished seventh in 17 minutes, 16 seconds to help the Sage Hill School boys finish fourth out of 12 teams Saturday.

Alemar Brito finished 13th in 17:27.

Sophia Witte finished 11th in 21:20 to help the Lightning girls finish fifth out of 12 teams.

Caroline Grant finished 27th in 22:50.

Dana Hills Invitational

DANA POINT — Robert Blackwell finished seventh in the boys’ junior race of Division III in 16:09 to help Costa Mesa High finish seventh.

Michael Chantos (17:19), Matthew Morgan (17:33), William Gyorgy (18:04), Chad Webster (18:10), Harry Do (18:49), Brett Bremudez (19:06), Cesar Chavez (19:32), Sean Lovell (19:58) and Patrick Sudbeck (22:40) recorded personal-best times.

On the girls’ side, Hunter Strodel finished 18th in 20:18 in the girls’ senior race. Raquel Friedmann finished 21st in 20:23 in the girls’ junior race.

Kristi Adams (20:47), Jennifer Daley (20:59), Scarlett Zambrano (22:11), Maria Muñoz (23:04) and Audrey Nguyen (28:03) recorded personal records.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Prep School Classic

NEWPORT BEACH — Sage Hill School’s Casey Astorino and Ava Soleimany earned all-tournament team honors and helped the Lightning finish second Saturday.

St. Margaret’s won the tournament for the second straight year.
