IRVINE — Farrel South had four goals and four steals to lead Newport Harbor High to a 14-2 win over Sacred Heart Prep of Menlo Park to advance to today’s semifinals at William Woollett Jr. Aquatic Center.

Andrew Duhoux and Curtis Fink scored three goals each for the Sailors (10-1), who will play against Long Beach Wilson at 2:40 p.m. at Woollett. Newport beat Wilson, 11-2, Sept. 14. The final is at 8:05 p.m.

South and Duhoux scored six goals each in a 24-5 win over Clovis West earlier Friday. Goalie Chris Whitelegge had 17 saves in the two games.

S&R Sport Cup

IRVINE — Chase Watson scored three goals to help lead Corona del Mar High to a 13-19 win over Acalanes of Lafayette to advance to today’s semifinals at William Woollett Jr. Aquatic Center.

Miles Carpenter and Will Havercroft added two goals each for CdM (7-4), which will play against Los Alamitos at 3:45 p.m. at Woollett. The Sea Kings got by Jesuit, 8-4, in the tourney opener behind four goals from Emery Molnar and 10 saves from goalie Bruce Bearer.

NEWPORT BEACH — The Lightning swept in doubles to improve to 4-0 in the Academy League Friday at The Tennis Club Newport Beach.

Rian Billingsley and Casey Astorino swept at No. 1 doubles, while Devyn Billingsley and Lauren Hsu swept at No. 2 doubles for Sage Hill (8-2).
