Dent vs. Federer

Former Corona del Mar High tennis standout Taylor Dent will play world No. 2 Roger Federer in a second-round match Thursday at the If Stockholm Open in Sweden.

Dent, 29, is playing in his first tournament since making it to the Round of 64 at the U.S. Open. Dent, who now lives in Florida, is currently ranked No. 101 in the world. He has been ranked as high as No. 21, in 2005.

Federer, who many consider to be the greatest to ever play the sport, has won a record 16 singles Grand Slam tournaments. He also won his only previous match against Dent, in Miami in 2009.
