COSTA MESA — Sarah Boyd had 20 points, five assists and four assists to lead the No. 12-ranked Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday.

Boyd made two free throws with 10 seconds left and Vanguard held off SDC (6-11, 1-8 in conference).

Molly Pfohl added 12 points, while Allison Burns led the Lions (10-5, 6-3) with eight rebounds.

COSTA MESA — Alex Chapman scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday.

Christopher Raybon added 14 points, while Taylor Kelly had 12 points and Cameron Nettles had nine points and 10 rebounds for Vanguard (4-13, 2-7 in conference). Chapman and Ryan Andrews had four steals each.

San Diego Christian is 7-12, 1-8.
