Lions blanked by Lancers

RIVERSIDE — Senior Angela St. Croix went one for two with a double Wednesday, but the Lions were swept by the top-ranked Lancers in the best-of- three semifinal series in the Golden State Athletic Conference Tournament.

Kimberly Skoglund and Adriana Venezia each had hits for Vanguard (26-32).

The Lancers (57-3) advanced to the tournament championship series and will play the winner of the Azusa Pacific-Concordia semifinal series.
