DESERT HOT SPRINGS — The Corona del Mar High boys’ golf team finished a memorable season Thursday wanting more next season.

Sea Kings Coach Mike Starkweather sees them building off a grand year.

CdM finished sixth out of 21 teams in the CIF Southern Section Team Final Championship Tournament at Mission Lakes Country Club. The strong finish was a part of a huge season for the Sea Kings, who went 21-1 during the regular season, recoring the most wins in program history.

Starkweather was pleased with the season.

“The nice thing about it is that we’re returning five of the six [golfers],” said Starkweather, who guided the Sea Kings to a second straight undefeated Pacific Coast League championship season. “The boys are very serious about winning it all next year.”
