NEWPORT BEACH — Junior Liana Korber swept at No. 1 singles in the Lightning’s nonleague victory Wednesday at The Tennis Club Newport Beach.

Seniors Katie Bick and Rian Billingsley also swept at No. 1 doubles for Sage, as did senior Casey Astorino and junior Lauren Hsu at No. 2 doubles.

Junior Ava Soleimany took two of three at No. 3 singles and junior Kimberly Brown took one of three at No. 2 singles.

The Lightning (2-0) return to action Friday, when they play host to Laguna Beach.

Tustin 11, Estancia 7

COSTA MESA — Eagles juniors Kenia Lara and Aphisara Sirirungvikrai swept at No. 2 doubles in the nonleague match Wednesday at Estancia High.

Christy Brown won twice at No. 1 singles for Estancia (0-3), which plays host to Bolsa Grande on Tuesday.

Sage Hill 245, Laguna Beach 261

IRVINE — Erin Hong shot eight-over-par 44 on Wednesday at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in a nonleague match Wednesday.

Coach Nicole Middaugh said the Lightning defeated Laguna Beach for the first time in two years.

Angela Choi finished with a 48 and Kathleen Huang had a 49 for Sage Hill (3-1).

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Cassie Stevenson shot five-over-par 41 for the Eagles in the nonleague match at Mile Square Golf Course Wednesday.

Estancia (0-8) will face Costa Mesa at Costa Mesa Country Club Thursday.

Newport Harbor 237, Foothill 252

SANTA ANA — Tara Hanna shot seven-over-par 43 for the Sailors in the nonleague match at Santa Ana Country Club Wednesday.

Lauren Willard (44), Charlotte Skjonsby (47), Alley Damser (48) and Amelia Thomas (56) also scored for Newport Harbor (3-2).

The Sailors open Sunset League play Thursday against Edison at Big Canyon Country Club.

COSTA MESA — Seniors Derek Andrews and Brody Henshied had three and two goals apiece to pace the host Eagles in their nonleague season opener on Wednesday.

The Eagles visit Ocean View today at 3 p.m.
