Bell Game tickets on sale now

The Edison and Fountain Valley High football game, known as the Bell Game, is at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium. Tickets are available for through the financial offices at both schools between 7:45 a.m. and 1 p.m., and 2 to 3:15 p.m., Edison Athletic Director Rich Boyce said Tuesday.

Tickets cost $8 for general admission and $3 for children 12 and younger. Another sell-out crowd is expected, according to school officials.

SHB Fastpitch Softball sign-ups

South Huntington Beach Girls Fastpitch Softball is holding sign ups for its 2012 spring season. SHB is an Amateur Softball Assn. recreational softball league for girls ages 5 to 14. Online registration is available at https://www.shbgfs.org through Dec. 31.

In-person registration dates are Nov. 13, Dec. 4 and Dec. 11 (noon to 3 p.m.) and Dec. 21 (6 to 9 p.m.) at First Class Pizza, 18671 Brookhurst St., Huntington Beach.

Edison’s haunted house opens Saturday

The Edison High aquatics program is sponsoring a Haunted House as the “twilight hour approaches” on Saturday and Monday at 15962 Wicklow Lane in Huntington Beach. The event, hosted by the Brimhall and Schwenk families, is in its sixth year. Last year an estimated 1,500 attended the ghoulish festivities. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
