High School Roundup: Mustangs win in pool play

LONG BEACH — Senior Nick Dawson had 16 points and five assists for the Mustangs in a pool-play game of the St. Anthony tournament Tuesday.

Sophomore Sean Comer had 11 points for Costa Mesa (3-2), which plays against Chadwick in pool play Wednesday at 4:30.

NEWPORT COAST — Sophomore guard Jack Williamson scored 15 points for the Lightning in their second game of Ueberroth Hoops Classic Tuesday.

Sage Hill (1-4) continues tournament play Wednesday.

BUENA PARK — Chance Beauchamp scored 15 points for the Sailors in the title game of the Buena Park tournament Saturday.

Beauchamp earned all-tournament team honors for Newport Harbor (3-1), which plays host to Laguna Hills Thursday at 7 p.m.
