LOS ALAMITOS — The visiting Sailors stunned the Griffins in the Sunset League game Friday as Chance Beauchamp had 17 points, including five three-pointers.

Nick Sargeant had 15 points with four three-pointers, while Kevin Rakestraw had 12 points and 11 rebounds and Zach Wade chipped in 10 points.

The Tars improved to 7-15, 2-6 in league, while Los Al was handed its first league loss.

SANTA ANA — Rashad Davis had 10 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots to pace Estancia in the Orange Coast League game Friday.

Chad Fackler had seven points, seven rebounds and five assists, while Josh Mendoza added nine points and Lucas Pereira chipped in five points and nine rebounds for Coach Agustin Heredia’s Eagles.

Ben Beck had seven points and five boards for Estancia (14-11, 5-3 in league).

CORONA DEL MAR — Senior guard Jake McCloskey scored 15 points for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Friday at CdM.

Jeff Johnston added 11 points for CdM (14-9, 6-2 in league), and Joey Calise added 10.

CdM, ranked No. 5 in the CIF Southern Section Division III-A coaches’ poll, plays at Beckman on Monday.

SANTA ANA — Junior Chris Gomez had one goal and one assist to lead Estancia in the Orange Coast League contest at Centennial Park on Friday.

Seniors Eric Gomez and Baggio Dominguez added goals for Estancia (4-1-3 in league).

Senior Alex Plata and junior Christian Montillo had assists for Estancia.

NEWPORT COAST — Senior Kevin Torres scored on a penalty kick in the eighth minute to pace the host Lightning in the Academy League game Friday.

Torres drew a foul in the 18-yard box, then cashed in the PK for the game-winner.

Sage finalized the scoring when the Warriors were charged with an own-goal.

Senior Brandon Zellner and freshman Gordon Strelow stood out for Sage Hill (7-5-0, 6-2-0 in league).

CORONA DEL MAR — Jake Maxwell scored the lone goal for the Sea Kings in their Pacific Coast League home contest Friday.

Both teams scored within the first 10 minutes, but CdM’s strong defense — led by Jay Damon, Conor Morrill, Chris Von Der Ahe and Matt Francini — paved the way for the tie.

Sage Hill 7, Brethren Christian 0

NEWPORT COAST — Maddi Jabara had two goals and an assist for the Lightning in the Academy League game Friday at Sage Hill.

Maddie Culberson also scored twice for Sage (11-4-3, 5-2-1 in league). Juliette Singarella, Erika Lynn-Green and Sanna Taskinen added goals for the Lightning.

Sage plays host to Oxford Academy on Tuesday.

Irvine Southern California Championships

CORONA DEL MAR — Diana Murphy had six goals for the Sea Kings, helping them to a 12-8 victory over Edison in a tournament quarterfinal match Friday at CdM.

Ally McCormick added three goals for top-seeded CdM (22-1). Genevieve Weed scored twice and Cassidy Papa also scored.

Alex Musselman made nine saves for CdM, which will play Foothill in a tournament semifinal at 10 a.m. Saturday at Irvine’s Woollett Aquatics Center.
