Junior Blake Grable and senior Andrew McCormack added 11 points each for the Sea Kings, who advance to play at Santa Margarita Tuesday at 7 p.m.

CdM has reached at least the quarterfinals in five of the past six seasons.

“We just keep finding ways to do it,” CdM Coach Ryan Schachter said.

San Luis Obispo (14-12) grabbed a one-point lead in the fourth, but the Sea Kings went on a run to grab the win.

“We defended the three ball real well,” Schachter said. “We tried to flush them out and not give up open threes. We went on some runs in the second and third quarters. They took the lead in the fourth, but we went on a huge run, something like a 10-2 run. We finally just started rebounding and that helped us make a run.”
