Pat Wright (No. 1 singles player), Rex Miller (No. 2) and Derek Wong (No. 3) swept for OCC (3-6, 2-1).

COSTA MESA — No. 1 singles player Madelyn Koehly led the way for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference match Tuesday.

OCC improved to 5-1, 3-0 in conference.

SAN JOSE — UC Irvine senior Lalita Patipaksiri finished third and the Anteaters were fifth in the 12-team tournament that concluded Tuesday at Almaden Golf & Country Club.

Patipaksiri shot par 72 Tuesday to card a 54-hole total of 216, two shots behind medalist Joanne Lee from Cal.

UCI’s Ronnie Valerio and Michelle Yang tied for 22nd at 231. Michelle Park was 32nd at 236 and Brenna Carlson was 45th at 242.

UCI’s team score of 909 was 30 strokes behind victorious Cal.

MEN’S GOLF

Fresno tournament

FRESNO — UC Irvine’s Allan Jun and Michael Yang finished tied for fourth at one-under-par 215 and the Anteaters were ninth as a team at the Fresno State Lexus Classic that concluded Tuesday at Fort Washington Country Club.

Pete Fernandez was eighth at 217 to round out UCI’s top players.
