HUNTNINGTON BEACH — Robert Marrone swept at No. 1 singles for the Eagles in the nonleague match Wednesday.

Matt Thomas and Erik Cerros swept at No. 1 doubles, while Sterling Gates and Charlie Griffen won two of three at No. 3 doubles for Estancia (4-0).

CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings had three hits in the Newport Elks Tournament’s Foothill Division consolation game Wednesday.

Billy Macdonald pitched a complete game, allowing six hits, one earned run and no walks.

CdM (2-2) closes out tournament play Friday.

SANTA ANA — The Sailors’ Tyler Tashiro shot three-over-par 39 in the nonleague match Wednesday at Santa Ana Country Club.

Carter Norris (40), Danny Willett (42), Mason Moody (42) and Brad Tapfer (43) also scored for Newport Harbor (3-1).

IRVINE — Senior Ahmed Eltamami led the Lightning as the medalist shooting a four-over-par 40 in the nonleague match Wednesday at Strawberry Farms Golf Course.

Junior Darren Chen and freshman Adam Wang both shot 42 for Sage Hill (4-0).

BOYS’ LACROSSE

St. Margaret’s 14, Newport Harbor 6

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — Jake Turner led the Sailors with two goals Wednesday in the nonleague game against the No. 2-ranked team in the CIF Southern Section rankings by laxpower.com.

Brian Team, Riley Robinson (assist), Matt Porteous (assist) and Luke Toohey had a goal each for Newport Harbor (0-3).

Andrew Wilson (four takeaways, three knockdowns, three groundballs), Jack Murrel (two takeaways, one knockdown, four groundballs) and goalie Zac Vayda (eight saves, four takeaways, three groundballs) stood out on defense.

The Sailors play host to Tesoro Friday at 7 p.m. in their home opener.

Corona del Mar 13, Laguna Beach 2 (five innings)

CORONA DEL MAR — Lindsey Susolik and Amanda Penna each hit three-run home runs for the Sea Kings in Tuesday’s nonleague game.

Delaney Owen was three for three with four RBIs for CdM. Sydney McKeown improved to 2-1.

CdM continues play at the Costa Mesa Touranment this weekend.
