Panaro to lead summer instruction

A summer volleyball camp run by Laguna Beach High boys’ volleyball Coach Scott Panaro starts Aug. 6 at Laguna Beach High. The dates for the three camps are Aug. 6-9, Aug. 13-16 and Aug. 20-23.

Camps are from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dugger Gym and are open to players grades six through 12. The cost is $165 per camp. Registration information can be found at https://www.lagunabeachcity.net.

Volleyball camps to start

Two volleyball camps run by Lance Stewart start Friday and Monday. The VolleyballNOW Specialized camps debut Friday and continue Sunday, July 29 and Aug. 4-5. A strength and conditioning camp designed for incoming freshmen through seniors opens Monday and runs through Aug. 17. An Elementary Schools camp is July 30-Aug. 6. The Middle School, Incoming Freshmen and Seniors, and Beach Volleyball camps are now open and continue into August.

Softball academy now open

Laguna Beach High softball Coach Alan Ludloff and collegiate player Kandy Francis are leading a Summer Softball Academy through Aug. 9 at Thurston Middle School in Laguna Beach. The camp runs from 1 to 3 p.m. each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and has sessions for players ages 7 to 12 and 13 to 18. Space is limited.

Baseball camp nears end

Laguna Beach High’s baseball program is hosting a camp for incoming players (grades 7-8) at Skipper Carrillo Field. The camp runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays through next Thursday.

Tennis, swim camps underway

The Champions for Life Tennis and Swim Camp, and summer tennis workouts for Junior Tournament Players, are open through Aug. 13 at Alta Laguna Park in Laguna Beach. Cardio Tennis sessions also are available at Alta Laguna Park.
