College Roundup: UCI wins

IRVINE — Junior Christopher Santana and sophomore Trey Hayes each had a goal and an assist to pace the UC Irvine men’s soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Detroit in the UCI Invitational on Sunday at UCI.

Enrique Cardenas added a goal and Cameron Iwasa had an assist for the No. 12-ranked UCI (3-0).

Detroit is 1-3.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

CORVALIS, Ore. — Laura McGrail’s unassisted goal in the seventh minute propelled the visiting Anteaters in the nonconference game Sunday.

Jennifer Randazzo made three saves to record the shutout for UCI (2-4).

Oregon State is 4-1.
