COSTA MESA — Jordan Davidson scored two goals and added an assist for the Lions in the nonconference game Friday.

Amanda Couch had a goal and assist, while Megan Hill provided two assists for Vangaurd (3-0). Jordan Cleary, Jacqueline Freiberger, and Veronica Aguilar scored a goal each and Kayla Arenas had an assist for the Linos.

COSTA MESA — Kyle O’Brien and Luke Kadillak scored a goal each for the Lions in the nonconference game Friday.

Kadillak and Brandon Antonissen recorded an assist each for Vanguard (1-3-1).

IRVINE — The Anteaters suffered their first loss of the season and dropped to 3-1 Friday night.

Stanford outshot UCI, 20-6.

Boise State Invitational

BOISE, Idaho — The Anteaters topped Southern Utah, 25-21, 25-22, 25-19 as senior libero Kristen Winkler became the school’s career digs leader with 1,757.

Aly Squires had 14 kills for UCI (4-5).

Earlier Friday, UCI defeated San Jose State, 25-16, 25-22, 23-25, 27-25, behind 21 kills from Squires, who added 14 digs.

COSTA MESA — The host Lions posted a 25-20, 25-13, 25-18 sweep on the first day of the Vanguard Tournament on Friday.

Ashli Bellinger had nine kills, while Kendal Haldi had eight and hit .615 and Sarah McKinny had eight and hit .500 for VU (8-5).

Kelly Heenan, a Newport Harbor High product, had 20 digs and Carly Maxwell had 35 assists for the Lions.

GLENDORA — Karlee Riggs had 18 kills and 13 digs to help lead the Pirates to a 25-20, 25-21, 25-21 nonconference win Friday.

Morgan Link had 15 kills, Allison Lumsden had 37 asssits and Andi Frisina had 13 digs and four aces for OCC (2-0).

Citrus is 0-3.

IRVINE — Junior driver Mitch Wise scored five goals for the sixth-ranked Anteaters in a nonconference game Friday night.

Jacob Mourer and Bojan Hrlec added three goals apiece for UCI (3-0).

UC Davis is 0-1.
