Key Mustangs: Jr. LB/FB Oronde Crenshaw (406 yards rushing and two TDs on 50 carries); Sr. QB Noah JeyaRajah (448 yards passing, seven TDs and two INTs); Sr. TB/CB Justin Smith (507 yards rushing and five TDs on 101 carries).

Key Grizzlies: Sr. RB/LB Ruben Rojas (328 yards rushing and three TDs on 47 carries); Sr. RB/DB Jonathan Gutierrez (245 yards rushing and four TDs on 28 carries); Sr. LB/K Jose Ocampo (team-high 66 tackles).

Breakdown: The Mustangs will look to bounce back after their Orange Coast League opener, a 15-13 loss to Estancia in the Battle for the Bell game ... Costa Mesa lost the game despite 316 yards rushing, 162 by Crenshaw and 143 by Smith ... Godinez won its league opener, 36-18, over Calvary Chapel last week at Segerstrom ... Gutierrez and Rojas combined for 281 rushing yards and three scores in the Grizzlies' win ... Godinez has won consecutive games since starting the season 0-4 ... The Mustangs are 3-1 against Godinez in their four league meetings since the Grizzlies began fielding varsity teams in 2008. The only setback was a 42-41, triple-overtime loss in 2010 ... Costa Mesa is trying to avoid its first 0-2 league start since 2005, when the Mustangs were in their final year in the Golden West League.
