COSTA MESA — The host Pirates outshot the Chargers, 16-4, but needed an own-goal to earn the draw in the Orange Empire Conference contest Tuesday.

OCC’s Jake Little sent a shot toward the goal that deflected off the head of a Cypress defender for OCC’s lone tally in the 73rd minute.

OCC is 6-4-3, 3-2-2 in conference.

Cypress is 5-5-4, 2-4-1.

COSTA MESA — The visiting Eagles prevailed in a Golden State Athletic Conference game marred by two red cards, six yellow cards and 39 fouls Tuesday.

Kevin Cornwall converted an assist from Edgar Hernandez to pull Vanguard (5-7-3, 3-3-2 in conference) even in the 29th minute.

But No. 4-ranked Concordia (13-1-1, 7-0), which posted a 15-5 edge in shots, netted the game-winner in the 78th minute for its 10th straight win.

IRVINE — Aly Squires had 16 kills and 11 digs to pace the host Anteaters in the Big West Conference match swept by the Aztecs, 25-21, 25-22, 28-26, Tuesday.

Marisa Bubica added 14 kills and Kristin Winkler had 26 digs for UCI (9-13).

San Diego State is 13-7.
