JuCo Football: OCC falls to Saddleback

MISSION VIEJO — The Orange Coast College football team suffered its fourth straight loss after falling to Saddleback, 52-24, in a Southern Division game Saturday night.

The Gauchos (3-4, 2-1 in division) raced to a 24-0 lead and led 31-13 at halftime.

The Pirates (3-5, 1-3), ranked No. 14 in Southern California, have allowed 198 points in their four losses.

OCC running back Robert Penny, who had been averaging 103.7 yards per game, was held to 41 yards on 18 carries.

Saddleback had its running game going with Anthony Cade and James Marshall, who combined for 288 yards and three touchdowns. The Gauchos have now won 10 of the last 11 meetings with OCC, including the last six to lead the series, 24-12.

Quarterback Cameron Biedgoly led OCC with 285 yards passing and one touchdown pass, completing 20 of 34 with one interception. Buzzy Yokoyama was the leading receiver for the Pirates with 110 yards and one touchdown on eight catches.
