Breakdown: Newport Harbor, ranked No. 8 in the CIF Southern Section Southwest Division poll, can move closer to claiming one of the Sunset League’s three guaranteed playoff berths by winning its third straight league game … Marina has dropped its past 38 league games dating back to 2004 … Newport Harbor is 4-2, 2-1 in league with sophomore Cole Norris at quarterback … Norris stepped in for starter Zach Wade after the senior broke his foot in the second game of the season, but Coach Jeff Brinkley said Wade has returned from his injury … Brinkley did not say whether Wade would start this week … Marina last beat the Sailors 12 years ago and its overall record against Newport Harbor is 4-26-3.
