CORONA DEL MAR — Matt Sherburne scored three goals for the Sea Kings in their Pacific Coast League finale Tuesday at home.

Jack Harryman, Ty Hack, Jake Wyatt and Reid Chase each scored twice for league champion CdM (21-6, 10-0 in league). Brendan Fisher had one goal, and Patrick McKenzie made seven saves.

The team wore orange caps for the second straight year and donated snack bar money to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society/Team Kimie. Kimie Metcalf, the daughter of CdM Coach Barry O’Dea’s friend, has leukemia, and orange is the leukemia awareness color.

The regular season is over for CdM, which is tied for third in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 poll with Newport Harbor and Long Beach Wilson. The Sea Kings await Sunday’s release of the playoff pairings.

ANAHEIM — Senior Hayden Swift scored eight goals to pace the visiting Eagles in the nonleague game Monday to end the regular season.

Eli Sperling added three goals for Estancia (5-20), which received six saves from Garrett Henscheid.

CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings wrapped up a 10-0 season in the Pacific Coast League with a 25-11, 25-23, 25-13 win Tuesday night.

CdM (26-6), ranked No. 5 in CIF Southern Section Division 1-AA, dropped just one set (to Northwood) in its 10 wins, Coach Marissa Booker said.

Hayley Hodson had 17 kills, Grace Kennedy had seven kills and 12 digs, Kelsey Humphreys had 33 assists and 10 digs and Katie Curci had 20 service attempts for the Sea Kings.

NEWPORT COAST — Senior outside hitter Maggie Danner had 10 kills, five digs and two aces to help lead the Lightning to a 25-13, 25-13, 25-12 Academy League on Tuesday to end the regular season.

Sophomore outside hitter Halland Mckenna added eight kills and eight digs and senior defensive specialist Dina Aluzri had six digs and three aces for Sage Hill (22-6, 7-3 in league), which finished tied for second in league.

The Lightning, ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern Section Division 3-A, will await the CIF playoff pairings that will be released Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
