Perfect ending for local girls

Six girls from the Newport-Mesa area experienced perfection and were highly productive in helping make that happen for their club soccer team.

Nikki Senske, Emily Mickelsen, Lily Shea, Jennifer Alvarado, Trinity Rodman and Megan Chelf were feature players on the So Cal Blues Girls U11 team that went undefeated in the top division and won the “State Cup,” recently at a state tournament.

The So Cal Blues team is coached by Greg and Matt Baker, who live in Newport Beach.

The six girls and the So Cal Blues went 8-0 in the tournament, outscoring opponents 35-0.

The girls, Senske (Eastbluff Elementary), Mickelsen (Newport Coast), Shea (Harbor Day School), Alvarado (Our Lady Queen of Angels), Rodman (Kaiser) and Chelf (Andersen), also represented local elementary schools.
