FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Senior Aaron Wood shot four-over-par 40 in the Eagles’ Orange Coast League match, which clinched their third straight league championship at Mile Square Golf Club on Thursday.

The Eagles finished league play at 8-1.

Jake Stone had a 41 for Estancia, and Brad Erhorn (42), Bill Croson (42) and Cody Nelson (44) also scored.

The Eagles (10-6 overall) compete at the two-day Orange Coast League championships on Tuesday at Skylinks Golf Course in Long Beach at 1 p.m.

NEWPORT BEACH — Senior Chase Wheatley earned medalist honors for the Sea Kings with a one-under-par 34 in a Pacific Coast League match at Newport Beach Country Club on Thursday.

The Sea Kings (13-7, 6-4 in league) finished third in league.

Bryan Hong carded a 35, followed by Karick Brown (37), John Hong (38), and Walter Frome and Drew Hanson each had 39s.

Next for CdM is the two-day Pacific Coast League championships at San Juan Hills Country Club in San Juan Capistrano. The tournament starts Tuesday at 9 a.m.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Landon Knight and Max Meisenheimer both shot two-over-par 37 for the visiting Sailors in the Sunset League match at Meadowlark Golf Club.

Brad Tapfer (38), Danny Willett (38) and Mason Moody (40 rounded out the scorers for the Tars (12-4, 6-3 in league).

Newport Harbor finishes out league play on Monday against Huntington Beach at SeaCliff Country Club.

ALISO VIEJO — The Mustangs fell to 2-15, 0-9 in league after the Orange Coast League match at Aliso Creek Golf Course’s par-33 course.

Ojai Tennis Tournament

OJAI — Top-seeded Gage Brymer of University dropped just two games in his two victories to advance to the round of 16 in the CIF Boys’ Singles division Thursday.

Brymer defeated Blaine Mengert (6-1, 6-1) and Kenny Gea (6-0, 6-0).

Brymer will play against Greg Lyon in the round of 16.

Alec Adamson, the Corona del Mar High senior who is the No. 2 seed, opened with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Drew Freeman. Adamson then beat Corona del Mar resident Alastair Hurry, 3-6; 6-1; 6-0, to reach the round of 16.

Adamson will play against Stefan Doehler in Friday’s round of 16.

Max Pham of Newport Coast fell in the round of 32 to William Chiu, 7-5, 6-3. Pham reached the round of 32 with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Jackson Kogan.

CdM’s Josh Kliger and Carson Williams advanced to the round of 16 in the CIF Boys’ Doubles division. The No. 5-seeded duo beat Leeho Lim and Harrison Zuk, 6-0, 6-1, and then took out Anthony Busacca and Andrew Engel, 6-0, 6-2.

Kliger and Williams will play against Christopher Lees and Daniel Minami in the round of 16.

Newport Harbor High’s Reese Stalder, the No. 5 seed in the boys’ 16 singles, won twice to advance to the round of 16.

Stalder beat Alessandro Saglia, 6-0, 6-0, and then defeated Garret Vincent, 6-2, 6-0.

Stalder will play against No. 9-seeded Julian Gordy in the round of 16.

Saddleback def. Estancia

SANTA ANA — Joey Mittner had 10 kills and Josh Lopez added 12 digs for the visiting Eagles in the Orange Coast League match won by the Roadrunners, 25-17, 25-23, 15-25, 25-23, on Thursday.

Estancia fell to 0-7 in league, said Coach Paul Munoz.
