In an AAA regular season that saw several games decided in the final inning, Crescent Bay Advisors emerged as the division’s regular-season champion at Laguna Beach Little League.

CBA secured the regular-season title with an overall record of 12-2-2. They finished the regular season Tuesday by rallying to earn a 10-10 tie against Gapp Construction at Riddle Field. Ryan Magers led Gapp with outstanding pitching over 3 2/3 innings. Jeremy Hayes of CBA continued his torrid hitting with two more home runs.

Payne is the home-run leader with six at Laguna Beach Little League.

Last week, CBA rebounded from a 7-6 loss to UPS on May 1, to beat Zero Trash, 7-6, on May 3.

UPS pitchers Hayden Meyers and Jamie McKay both pitched excellent to keep the bats of CBA in check. Booker Frith pitched outstanding for CBA and kept his team in the game. UPS pulled out the win in the bottom of the sixth inning on an RBI single by Max Schuster. Jeremy Hayes homered in the loss.

Friday Night Lights at Riddle Field on May 3 led to another thrilling game. Nolan Naess pitched brilliantly for 5 2/3 innings to get the win against Zero Trash. Paxton Burzell relieved Naess to get the final out after big hits by Jack Payne and Connor Fink scored a few runs for Zero Trash. The game ended on a groundout with the tying run at third base.
