Stalder, Gordon take third

Reese Stalder, an incoming junior at Newport Harbor High, teamed up with Henry Gordon, a former Corona del Mar player, to place third in the under-16 boys’ doubles division at the United States Tennis Assn. Junior National Hard Courts Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich., on Sunday.

Stalder and Gordon, who finished 6-1 during the tournament, defeated Alexander Knight and Kyle Seelig, 7-5, 6-4, in the third-place match.
