Senior Briana Rayhaun and sophomore Connie Yu took two of three at No. 1 doubles, while Celine Wang, Jaclyn Gerschultz and Amira Tarsadia each won twice for Sage Hill (11-3, 5-1 in league), ranked No. 8 in CIF Southern Section Division 4. St. Margaret’s is ranked No. 8.

“Our goals were to get five points in singles and five points in doubles,” Sage Coach A.G. Longoria said. “We exceeded our expectations against a very good team to give us sole position of first place in the Academy League race. Sage still has to play Oxford Academy and Whitney next week. The Lightning defeated Oxford 12-6 and Whitney 16-2 in the first round. Now, every team in the Academy League except Sage has at least two losses.”
