Brice Manning had a pair of goals and Thales Serra added a goal and two assists to help the host Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference match on Tuesday.

Jorge Sanchez and Maximiliano Aceves each had a goal and an assist, while Pedro Erhechury added a goals for the winners (7-4-2, 6-2-1 in conference). OCC has won three straight and is 6-1-1 in its last eight matches.

Josh Madrid and Andrew Lane had assists for OCC, which plays Irvine Valley at home on Friday at 3 p.m.

Cypress is 3-10-3, 1-7-1.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

UC Irvine 2, Cal State Northridge 1

NORTHRIDGE — Senior Natalia Ledezma scored with an assist from Jenna Pellegrino in the 87th minute to lift the visiting Anteaters to the Big West Conference victory on Sunday.

Laura McGrail scored on a Pellegrino assist in the 23rd minute to open the scoring.

Corey Tobin made four saves for the winners (10-6, 5-2 in the Big West), who clinched a berth in the four-team conference postseason tournament.

The Matadors fell to 6-11-1, 1-5-1.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Biola def. Vanguard

LA MIRADA — Rachael Barker had 14 kills and Jessica Neves added 13 kills and five block assists as the visiting Lions fell, 23-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-23, in the Golden State Athletic Conference match Tuesday.

Kelly Heenan, a Newport Harbor High product, had a team-best 12 digs for No. 12-ranked Vanguard (17-6, 5-4 in conference).

Biola, ranked No. 3, is 18-2, 8-1.

WOMEN’S GOLF

Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — UC Irvine senior Ronnie Valerio and freshman Kaley In finished tied for eighth to help the Anteaters finish sixth as a team in the 36-hole event completed Tuesday at Stallion Mountain Golf Club.

Valerio and In posted two par-72 rounds to help UCI post a 589 team score, 10 shots back of victorious San Diego State.

It was the best finish of the season for Valerio and In.

Sophomore Luciane Lee (tied for 35th) was the other Anteater in the top 50.
