Corona del Mar 67, University 62

IRVINE — Junior guard Bo St. Geme finished with 19 points as the Sea Kings improved to 3-0 in Pacific Coast League play on Friday.

Ryan Stone, Blake Flamson and Jeff Johnston had 10 points apiece for CdM, which is 13-4 overall and ranked No. 4 in the CIF Southern Section Division 3AA poll.

The Sea Kings play at Newport Harbor in the Battle of the Bay rivalry game on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Newport Harbor 67, Fountain Valley 45

Senior guard Nic Sargeant finished with a triple-double, 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in the Sailors' Sunset League game at home on Friday.

Joey Faris had 14 points, while Chase Davis added 10 for Newport Harbor (11-8, 2-1 in league).

The Sailors play host to rival Corona del Mar in the Battle of the Bay game on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Laguna Beach 53, Estancia 47

LAGUNA BEACH — Senior guard Josh Mendoza finished with 19 points and three three-pointers in the Eagles' Orange Coast League road game on Friday.

Kaena McReynolds had nine points on three threes for Estancia (6-12, 1-1 in league).


Costa Mesa 56, Godinez 54, OT

SANTA ANA — The Mustangs went on the road and won in overtime on Friday, earning their first Orange Coast League victory of the season.

Costa Mesa, ranked No. 12 in the CIF Southern Section Division 4AA poll, improved to 13-6, 1-1 in league.


Corona del Mar 2, University 2

IRVINE — Evan Schwartz and Josh O'Connor scored the Sea Kings' goals in Friday's Pacific Coast League match on the road.

Corona del Mar (7-3-4, 1-0-2 in league) is ranked No. 8 in the CIF Southern Section Division 3 poll.

The Sea Kings play host to Beckman on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m.

Newport Harbor 2, Fountain Valley 0

Jose Garfias and Jonny Arroyo produced the host Sailors' goals in Sunset League action on Friday.

Goalkeeper Victor Negrete made five saves in the shutout.

Godinez 5, Costa Mesa 0

SANTA ANA — The Mustangs, on the road Friday, dropped to 0-2 in Orange Coast League play.


University 60, Corona del Mar 33

IRVINE — Melody Yoo (two three-pointers) and Krista Anderson scored six points each.

Kelly Tam added five points for CdM (12-6, 1-2 in league).
