Maddie Musselman had seven goals for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Wednesday at CdM.

Jaleh Moaddeli added three goals for CdM (16-3, 8-0 in league). Eliza Britt had two goals, two assists and four steals.

Senior captains Marina Coskinas, Annie Mortimer, Kampbell Gritsch and Bobbi Hoose were honored on senior day.

CdM plays in the Irvine Southern California Championships beginning Thursday. The Sea Kings open the tournament against Long Beach Millikan at 6 p.m. at CdM.

Newport Harbor 14, Huntington Beach 3

Sailors junior Chanel Schilling scored a season-high four goals in Wednesday’s Sunset League game at Newport Harbor High.

Christina O’Beck, Emma Erickson and Heidi Fults each scored twice for the Sailors (16-4, 4-0 in league). Goalkeepers Cleo Harrington and Carlee Kapana combined for 11 saves.

Newport Harbor will play Los Alamitos (also 4-0 in league) for the league title Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.

The Sailors play in the Irvine Southern California Championships beginning Thursday. They open the tournament against Esperanza at 6 p.m. at Irvine’s Woollett Aquatics Center.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Edison 69, Newport Harbor 49

Nic Sargeant led the Sailors with 17 points in the Sunset League game Wednesday.

Caleb O Neil added 15 points for Newport Harbor (4-3 in league), which plays at Fountain Valley Friday night.
