La Sirena built its lead on stellar pitching by Cade Anderton who threw 3 2/3 innings of shutout ball with eight strikeouts without allowing a walk. Jackson Baldwin went three for three and Lucas Durand two for two to lead led La Sirena’s offensive attack.

Bushard’s was led by great pitching from Will Goodwin who struck out eight and allowed three runs in three innings pitched. Strong hitting from Hayden Farrington (three for three) and Christopher Hemsley (two for three) paced the Bushard’s offense.

The final inning comeback effort of Bushard’s was launched by the hitting of Farrington, Hemsley, Jackson Rowley and Andrew Kelleher.

La Sirena Grill 10, American Legion 1

La Sirena Grill prevailed with a nine-run win against American Legion.

The pitching and hitting of Taylor Towe and Devon Connelly, along with the hitting of Will Heichemer (one hit), kept American Legion in the game early, but a bases loaded, two-out triple by Ben Dawson of La Sirena, was the key hit in the game.

La Sirena coasted after Dawson’s big hit, getting solid pitching from the trio of Cade Anderton (3 1/3 innings, six strikeouts, one walk, one run), Oliver Rounaghi and Redmond Chesley, with Chesley striking out the only batter he faced to end the game.

The hitting of Rounaghi (hit, walk) and Jackson Baldwin (two for three) also was integral to the La Sirena victory.
