The Laguna College of Art + Design will host its Collector’s Choice 25th Anniversary Celebration from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. June 21 at the main campus, 2222 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach.

The event will honor longtime Laguna Beach residents and LCAD supporters Terry Smith and Wayne Peterson as honorary chairs.

“With some of the most respected artists and designers in the world on our faculty, the Laguna College of Art + Design has an impressive reputation that places it among the finest in the nation,” President Jonathan Burke said in a news release. “If you look at some of most prominent galleries, museums, movie studios, fashion and active design companies and gaming studios, you will find our faculty, students and alumni at work. Their accomplishments, in part, can be traced to the dedication and funds raised through our Collector’s Choice event.

“Our donors and friends, such as Wayne and Terry, have empowered us to educate, challenge, inspire and place our students and alumni into positions of great influence.”

Over the years, the party has pulled in more than $1 million for the college, benefiting student scholarships, programs and more, according to Burke.

At least 400 guests are expected at the event, which will feature dinner, live entertainment and original works of art donated by professional artists, including faculty, alumni and students.

Tickets cost $250.
