Visitors got a first look at the Trabuco Center, Irvine’s third senior center, during a public grand-opening ceremony Saturday.

The 7,500-square-foot center, at 5701 Trabuco Road along the Jeffrey Open Space Trail, features a fitness center, large multipurpose rooms, a lounge area, a patio courtyard and free Wi-Fi. It will offer a variety of programs and activities, including Zumba and line dancing classes, bridge and chess, educational presentations, computer classes and technology tutoring.

Operating hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The facility also is available for private events on evenings and weekends.
