Corona del Mar 8, South Torrance 1
Senior Donato DiFerdinando went two for three with two runs batted in for the Sea Kings, who wrapped up play in the Beach Pit Classic on Wednesday at CdM.
DiFerdinando’s two-run single in the fifth inning put the Sea Kings (12-2) up for good.
Freshman pitcher Nolan Dunn earned his first win in one inning of relief, while senior Evan Larsen picked up the save.
Sophomore Preston Hartsell belted a three-run home run in the fifth inning. It was his fourth homer of the season.
Sophomore J.T. Schwartz also hit a home run, a solo shot in the sixth, his first of the season.
The Sea Kings resume Pacific Coast League play on Tuesday at home against Northwood.

Western 13, Estancia 6
Connor Brown went two for four with two runs batted in and two doubles in the Eagles’ final game in the Beach Pit Classic at home on Wednesday.
Joe Stukkie was one for three with three RBIs and a double for Estancia (11-6).
Colin Gardner was one for three with two runs.
The Eagles return to Orange Coast League play against Saddleback at TeWinkle Park on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

St. Paul 7, Costa Mesa 3
James Barton and Dominick Santos each doubled for the host Mustangs in their last game in the Santa Ana Newport Elks Tournament on Wednesday.
Grady Conner and Ryan Lether both had a hit and drove in a run for Costa Mesa (6-11).
The Mustangs’ next game is on the road against Calvary Chapel in Orange Coast League play on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.

Sage Hill def. Capistrano Valley Christian
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — Parker Warden finished with 14 kills, rallying the Lightning to a 25-27, 22-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-10 nonleague win on the road Wednesday.
Albert Son had nine kills for Sage Hill (3-8), while Louis Rhee added eight kills.
Shane Larimer produced 38 assists and four service aces.
