Civic center street closures ahead

Access to Pasadena City Hall will be limited for the next four weeks as crews reconstruct street pavement and install brick-paved crosswalks along Garfield Avenue, city officials said.

Garfield Avenue between Union Street and Thurgood Marshall Street will be closed until Sept. 9 as part of the civic center improvements project.

Thurgood Marshall and Ramona Street will also be closed at Garfield Avenue at times during construction. Drivers will still be able to get to City Hall on Union Street.

Drivers will have access to Holly Street between Marengo Avenue and Garfield Avenue, where on-street parking will be available. Pedestrians will be able to reach City Hall from Holly Street and Garfield Avenue at all times. For more information, call (626) 744-4720.
