Big rig hits sign, flips over on 210 Freeway in La Crescenta

A semi-truck that hit an overhead sign and then flipped over Tuesday night caused closures on the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway until Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident was reported at 10:55 p.m. on the 210 Freeway at the Pennsylvania Avenue exit.

A Sig Alert was issued at 11:36 p.m. for all lanes. The No. 1 lane was re-opened at 1:01 a.m.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived on the scene at 11:05 p.m., where they treated one person for minor injuries, according to Fire Department Inspector Randall Wright.

Officer Tony Polizzi with the California Highway Patrol said an unknown amount of gasoline was spilled, but it did not result in a Hazmat situation.

The Sig Alert was cancelled at 7:18 a.m.
