Glendale mother arrested on suspicion of drug use while caring for son

A 20-year-old Glendale resident was arrested Saturday after she was caught allegedly high on narcotics while caring for her 1-year-old son, police said.

Precious Dobbs was taken into custody after a tip led officers to her apartment in the 1500 block of East Broadway, said Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz.

Arriving officers found her to be reportedly under the influence of methamphetamine, Lorenz said.

Los Angeles County’s Department of Children and Family Services is also investigating the incident, said.

The infant was found unharmed, Lorenz said.

Dobbs was arrested on suspicion of drug use and child endangerment, he said.

She is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
